Laminar chambers as devices to ensure the highest class of purity - "A" require cyclical, specialized tests to prove their constant readiness to clean the air of pollutants.
Along with impurities, dust, bacteria, viruses and fungi are removed. This has a direct impact on the safety of work with the material, the purity of the sample or the finished product.
the need for research
There are many factors that can lead to the "leakage" of the filter, e.g. changing the seal pressure, mechanical damage caused by the user or external factors. The PN-EN IS 14644-2:2005 part 2 standard defines the maximum time between measurements at 24 months.
We also assume this period for newly installed filters, subsequent tests should be performed more often - every 12 months. This is necessary to demonstrate that, despite contamination, the filter still has the ability to provide the required purity class.
Scope of measurements
The main parameters checked during measurements are:
- air flow speed
- number of particles of a given size (0.3 µm to 5 µm) in m3 air
- integrity of filters HEPA / ULPA
- filtration efficiency
- the tightness of the filter foundation
- smoke test
We also carry out tests:
In addition, a relative humidity and temperature test is carried out.
